Integrating Cvent with CrowdCompass can be a huge time saver, instantly syncing your Attendees, Sessions, Speakers, and Registration Types between the two products. Here's how to turn it on from your Cvent account.
 
NOTE: Also planning to pull over data from the Cvent Appointments tool? Activate this integration with Event Management first, then follow these separate steps to sync Appointments with CrowdCompass.  

1 Navigate to the Push API Integrations Menu. Log in to Cvent and choose Events from the Solutions dropdown at the top of the page. Click on your event's name from the list.

Hover over Event Details and, under General, click Push API Integrations.

2 Turn on the CrowdCompass Integration. Click the arrow next to the CrowdCompass integration, then click Edit.

Switch "Activate CrowdCompass integration for this event" to Yes.

Under CrowdCompass Event Guide, click the "..." button to bring up a pop-up window. From here, you can select the CrowdCompass event you want to integrate with by scrolling through the list or searching.

3 Choose the content to sync with CrowdCompass. Attendees, Sessions, Speakers, and Groups (Registration Types or Admission Items) all sync by default, but if you'd like to keep any of these items separate between the two products, toggle them to No in the Synced Objects section.
 
NOTE: By syncing Groups, you are segmenting attendees based on their Registration Types or Admission Items for more targeted push notifications or content.

To enable Session Enrollment (Session Capacities and Rules), you must set Attendees, Sessions, and Session Enrollment to Yes under Synced Objects. To sync travel data to CrowdCompass, you must set Attendees, Air Actuals, and Hotel Requests to Yes under Synced Objects. Enabling Attendee Custom Fields will allow you to select up to 20 standard or custom fields from Cvent to sync to attendee profiles in the app.

Click Save at the top of the screen when you've finished.

4 Validate and Sync. Click Validate at the top of the screen. You should receive a green confirmation message letting you know that your account has passed validation. Once you've gotten the confirmation, click Sync with CrowdCompass, then select your Sync Method. Your options include:

User-added imageInsert new records and update existing records (Recommended) - New items that you've added in Cvent will be synced with CrowdCompass, as well as any existing items that you've updated.

User-added imageInsert new records, skip existing records - New items that you've added in Cvent will be synced with CrowdCompass, any existing items that you've made changes to will not be updated.

User-added imageUpdated existing records, skip new records - New items will not be synced, but any changes you've made to existing items will be updated.
 
You'll also have another chance to confirm which content items should sync to CrowdCompass. Once you're ready, click OK.
 
NOTE: Once the integration is on, all updates to synced content should be made in Cvent. Any changes made to synced content in the EventCenter will be overwritten the next time the integration runs.
