Your event is unique, and it should have emails to match. Give your messages to attendees the personal touch they deserve by customizing them. The instructions below will show you how.

1 Access the Customize Emails page.
After you have logged in to the EventCenter, click your event's name. In the Event Checklist, click View More under Design, then Customize Emails.

2 Customize your master template. Click Edit Master Template.


The changes that you make here will impact every email you send. Hover over the header image at the top of the screen to prompt a menu to appear.

To select a custom header from your computer, click Upload Image and locate the image you want to use on your computer or network. When you find it, click Open.

 
NOTE: Headers look best when using a 1060 x 212 pixel image. Don't let the border fool you.

The border color will frame the header. For that reason, it's important to select either white or a color that matches the image. Also include some alternative text in the corresponding text box in case your image can't be viewed on your recipient's email client.

Rather keep things simple? You can select a text based header by switching the toggle button from Image to Text. You can then select colors for the text and background using the corresponding buttons on the right side of the menu.

Whether you choose an image or text header, you can change the alignment by clicking Align then choosing your preference from the dropdown.

You can also customize the text and background color of your Action Buttons by hovering over the Example Action Button and using the corresponding buttons on the right side of the menu. You can change the text while customizing the body of your email.


Once you're satisfied, click Save and Finish.

3 Change the details of each template.
Under the Active Emails header, you'll see a list of email templates that will be sent out based on the current settings for your event. Click the pencil icon next to the one you'd like to customize.

NOTE: Check out the blurb underneath each email's name to find out when it will be sent to your attendees.

When your email arrives in a recipient's inbox, it will appear to be coming from the name you added in the Friendly From field. You can also select an email address for replies to be sent to, and a name that will display as the recipient of those replies in the corresponding text boxes.

Add a subject. If you wish to include specific information that pertains to your recipient or your event, you can do so by inserting a data tag. Click the Insert Tag button and choose what information you'd like to include from the dropdown.

4 Modify the message Scroll down below the header of your email. Use the textboxes to edit the body of your email however you see fit.

If there are any action buttons in your email, you can change the text that appears on them by clicking on them. To alter the colors however, you'll need to access the Master Template.

If you wish to include specific information that pertains to your recipient or your event, you can do so by inserting a data tag. Click the Insert Tag button and choose what information you'd like to include from the dropdown.

When you're satisfied with your changes, click Save and Finish.

5 Preview your work. Before inviting anyone, click the eye icon next to your email on the Active Emails list to get a quick sense of what it will look like.

You can resize the window to see what it will look like on different sized screens. Click Return to email editor in the top left to go back to the Customize Emails page.

It's also recommended that you send yourself a test email to make sure you're happy with the layout on an actual email server. Click Send Test Email next to your email and wait for a confirmation message to appear. Then check your inbox.

NOTE: The "Download the App" and "Verify Account" buttons will not work in a test email.
