About

Booked to the brim or just not what you're looking for? Let the planner down gently by turning down their RFP. You can usually retract this action later, if you have a change of heart.

NOTE: Keep in mind you can only turn down RFPs if you are logged in to your Cvent account and your assigned user role allows it.

1 Open the RFP. Begin by hovering over the global navigation, then hover over RFPs and click Manage RFPs.

Open the RFP by clicking its name. Under Section Links on the left, click RFP Details.

NOTE: You can't turn down an RFP if you've already submitted a proposal. Try withdrawing it instead.

2 Turn down the RFP. Click the Turn Down RFP button at the top. If the planner's dates are flexible, a yellow banner will show up at the top of the page encouraging you to create a proposal for a different date.

If you want to proceed with the turn down, select a reason from the dropdown.

The Turn Down reason dropdown is expanded to show all available options.

If you choose Other as a reason, you must provide details in the Additional Comments box before you can continue.

Click Turn Down RFP. The planner will receive an email, notifying them that you can't accommodate their business and why.
