Adding Venue Details to a Venue Profile

Planners want the details. Pack your venue's presence on the Supplier Network with numbers, descriptions, and features so those business opportunities stop browsing, dive into your profile, and get sold on the cold hard facts.

1 Open the venue profile. Begin by clicking Venues from the blue navigation bar.

Open a venue's profile by clicking its name. Under Section Links on the left click Venue Details.

The Venue Details tab opens by default. 

2 Edit the basic details.Click Edit. Here you can add or update your venue's name, time zone, contact information, and website address. Some fields, like Venue Type, Metro Area, Brand, Scale, and the Locations and Address Information sections, may be locked down because of the way planners search for your venue in the Supplier Network. If this information must be changed, contact Customer Care.

If you have a 1 Diamond listing or above, check the boxes and enter URLs for your Facebook or Twitter pages in the appropriate fields. These will appear as buttons within the social media dropdown.

Choose a currency from the dropdown.

Not open for business yet? Enter the date you will be in the Opening Date field. This label appears on your venue's overview until the date you specify in the adjacent field.

The Venue Description will display, front and center, inside the venue's profile, so make sure it's planner-focused and filled with facts. The listing description can be edited in the Listing Options tab.
 
NOTE: If you're a North American property, the venue description is only available for Half Diamond listings and above. Contact a sales representative to learn more.
 
Text you enter in the Additional Information field appears at the bottom of the General Info tab within the profile. Cancellation Policy text appears at the bottom of the Overview tab. 


If you have a 2 Diamond listing or above, use the Getting Here field to give attendees recommendations for the best ways to get to your property, including public transit options and directions to and from the airport.

Once you're done, click Save.

3 Edit your facility information. Select the neighboring tab, Facility Information, and click Edit.

Be as thorough as possible listing your space, room counts, and rates because planners can filter by many of these fields when searching for a venue. These facts will display in the Overview section.

If you list the dates you need to fill under Venue Need Dates. Click Add Dates and enter a start and end date.

Under Venue Seasonality, consider letting planners know your property's high, low, and shoulder seasons. Click Add Dates and select the dates and season using the dropdowns.
Prefer that groups arrive on a Monday and leave on a Thursday? Click Add Date Patterns, enter a date range, then select your preferred days within that range. Click Add. This will not affect which RFPs are recommended for you in the RFP Showcase.

By default, need dates and seasonality won't be public. Check the box next to "Display this venue's Need Dates to planners" to display them in your profile.
 
NOTE: Only venues with a 1 diamond listing or above can display need dates and seasonality in the profile and search results.

Under the Venue Ratings section, use the dropdowns to apply the ratings you've received from the various agencies listed. In the Primary column on the right, select the rating you want to appear at the top of your profile and in search results. Use the Venue Awards text box to list specific awards or nominations.

NOTE: Don't have a Northstar rating? Email Northstar Travel Media and mention the Cvent Supplier Network. 

If you have a Northstar rating but don't want to advertise it, check the box next to "Do not display Northstar rating on the Cvent Supplier Network."

Once you're done, click Save.


4 List your amenities. Select the neighboring tab, Amenities, and click Edit.

Check the boxes beside the amenities your venue offers. Planners will often filter by amenity, searching for properties with business centers, internet, or environment friendly practices. The amenities you include will be listed in your profile's overview.
