Whether you're an HTML aficionado or still have trouble with copy and paste, Cvent can help you design a gorgeous event website that matches your organization's look and feel.

1 Define the layout.
Begin by selecting your event. Hover over Website & Registration and, under Website, click Event Website.

The Pages tab opens by default. Click the neighboring tab, Layout, and choose a layout. The layout will change on the screen.

Determine the page width. Remember your decision when it's time to add your header. Recommended dimensions vary based on which is selected.

Click on the different layout section names, and determine how they will appear in the box to the right. The example below shows the Register button being selected.

NOTE: To remove the "Already Registered?" link, click the Register Button section and switch "Display 'Already registered' link" to No.

Don't forget to Save for each section.

2 Choose a template. Click the right most tab, Theme, then Edit.

Choose or update your theme by clicking Change Theme. Do the same to select a different button color and progress bar.

3 Determine the display options. Use the dropdowns to select how the date and time should display, then select the text font and size.

4 Change the color scheme. Scroll down to the Website Design section. Unless you're familiar with CSS, Basic Mode is recommended.

Adjust a color by entering a hex value in the textbox or creating a color. Not sure what you're changing? Consult the Changing Colors in Basic Mode for additional guidance on what each field is referencing.

Click Save.

4 Assess your work. Click Preview in the top right. Examine each page and remember to walk through registration.

After that first critical look, you may want to make a few changes. Once everything shines, you're ready to test your event.
