Don't have the manpower needed for OnArrival? Make your invitees check themselves in using Kiosk Mode. Not only will they mark themselves as participants, but you can also make last-minute registration a breeze for walk-ins, saving you time and allowing you to focus on the gazillion other things that need to get done.

NOTE: This feature is only available in Classic events.

1 Access the Kiosk Mode page. Begin by selecting your event. Hover over Website & Registration and, under Onsite, click Kiosk Mode.

2 Configure Kiosk Mode. Click Edit. Ensure Yes is selected next to Active. If you have multiple registration paths, choose the default path that registrants and walk-ins will be associated to if they do not have a registration type.


If you have badges and certificates created for the event, specify what attendees will be able to print onsite by checking the boxes inside the dropdown. These options appear at the end of each registration or check-in.

Decide what options will be available to your attendees. Your choices include:
  • Check in and register new allows registrants to check in to the event, while walk-ins can register for the event once they arrive.
  • Check in provides registrants with a way to mark their attendance. Walk-ins are out of luck.
  • Register new is for those whose main concern is getting everyone registered. Not worried about checking people in? This one's for you.

3 Establish check-in options. If one of the check-in options is selected, choose what fields will display, then how many are required. Decide what happens when an invitee checks in and there is not a match. If you choose to have registrants denied if there is not a exact match, it is best to require more than one field to prevent similar matches.

Don't want anyone who hasn't paid to check-in to the event? Make sure No is selected. Type the message in the textbox that appears below.

Finally, you can help the line move faster by letting group leaders check in their entire group.

4 Determine the display options. Want a different header entirely for Kiosk Mode? Scroll down to the Display section and select the option to "Use settings specific to Kiosk Mode." Click Browse Library....

Double-click the folder, then the file. Don't see your image? Open a folder and click Upload to add one from your computer or network.

Add text beneath a header or at the bottom by typing in the appropriate Header or Footer HTML boxes. Click HTML to access the HTML Editor.

Once you're done adding custom content, click Okay. If the HTML Editor appeared in a separate window, be sure to save on the original page as well.

5 Let invitees check in. When you arrive onsite and are ready to check in invitees, copy and paste the weblink at the top of the page into the browser window.

 
NOTE: Kiosk Mode cannot be tested until you launch your event. When testing, walk through registration but do not click Finish.
