Registering for Your Invitees

Know someone that lacks the means or ability to register online? What about a VIP you don't want to charge but still track in the system? Cvent's got you covered. Simply register them yourself, planner-side.

1 Access the Register Invitee page. Begin by selecting your event. Hover over Invitee Management and, under Quick Action, click Register Invitee.

2 Enter their basic information. Type in the invitee's first and last name, then click Register.
 
If the invitee is not in your Address Book, they are added as a new contact and you're immediately taken to the beginning of registration. If the name matches a contact in your Address Book, you can choose to register the existing contact or create a new contact by clicking the related links in the Actions column. After selecting, you'll be taken to the beginning of registration.

3 Register the invitee. Be careful with planner-side registration. Fields that are required for invitees are not required for you. For example, you can skip filling in an email address, but, if you do, the invitee won't receive any event-related correspondence.
 
Click Next to continue through registration.


4 Adjust the amount due, if applicable. If you want to charge this registrant less, or nothing at all, click the Edit Amounts in the Submit Payment page of your Classic event, or the
Edit Prices link on the Order Summary widget of your Flex event (marked below).

Enter a new amount in the Price field and click Save.

Select a payment method. Your choices include:
  • No Payment finalizes registration without processing a payment or refund.
  • Offline Payment records an offline payment immediately upon clicking Finish for your Classic event or Submit for your Flex event.
  • Online Payment processes a credit card transaction immediately upon clicking Finish for your Classic event or Submit for your Flex event.
Check the box near the bottom to send a confirmation for your Classic event. To complete registration, click Finish for your Classic event or Submit for your Flex event.
