Membership Management gives nonprofits, associations, and other member-based organizations the resources to more efficiently support the people that support them. Follow the steps below to get set up and begin managing memberships in no time.
 
 



Set up your membership details. First, you'll need to create membership types, which establish how all related items will be renewed. Then, create a membership item to determine the duration and price. Follow these steps to set up both.
 




Generate member IDs. Create unique IDs for everyone in your organization. Not only will this give you piece of mind, but it'll make supporting, tracking, and confirming your members that much easier.
 



Add notifications and alerts. Create notifications that are automatically sent to your members based on when they become a member, renew, or their membership expires. Then set up email alerts so that you and your team are aware of membership status changes as well as when transactions fail.



Set up a membership portal. Include membership items in a portal, known in Cvent as a contact website. This allows your members to view and purchase their memberships all in one place. Then edit the contact website pages, if desired, to further adjust the settings and enhance each with custom content.




Add membership items to registration. Add the convenience factor of allowing registrants to purchase memberships directly from the event registration process




Manage your memberships. You'll manage your members in the Address Book. From here, you can add memberships, change the renewal dates, and adjust or refund any membership-related transactions.
