You don't want to open registration only to discover invitees can't purchase tickets. Spare yourself that nightmare and submit a test transaction before launching your event by following the steps below.
 
NOTE: If using PayPal Express Checkout, Authorize.Net (SIM), or TouchNet, test your merchant account through a test event instead.
 
1 Access the Merchant Account page.
Begin by clicking Admin in the top right. Hover over Integrations and, under Integrations, click Merchant Accounts. Click the name of the merchant account you want to test.

2 Submit a test transaction. Click Submit Test Transaction. Enter your credit card information. Click Submit. Since an actual exchange of funds is required, $1 will be charged to your card.

Give it a few minutes to process and then refresh the page (hit F5 on the keyboard). If the test is successful, the Result column will read "This transaction has been approved." If the test fails or takes over ten minutes, let us know by submitting a case.

3 Issue a refund. Allow 2-3 days for the money to settle, then rescue that dollar. To do so, hover over User-added image and click Submit Refund.

Once again, give it a few minutes and refresh. If the test is successful, the Result column will read Approved. If the test fails or takes over ten minutes to process, let us know by submitting a case.
