An image map is simply a single image that contains multiple links in coordinates you define. Follow the steps below to add one without knowing a line of HTML.

NOTE: This feature is not available in Flex events or new surveys .

1 Access the HTML Editor. The HTML Editor can be accessed throughout the application by clicking Edit Section or the HTML button. It's also built into various pages related to editing emails. However adding image maps to emails is not recommended, because they don't render consistently across all email clients.

2 Insert an image. Select the Insert tab, then click Media Library to find the image you want to use. Select it and click Insert.

NOTE: To add a file to your library from here, click Upload if you're in an event or open a folder or click Add File if you're anywhere else. Don't see either option? Ask your administrator to give you full access to Library Management in Admin > Users > Manage > User Roles.

3 Define what area will be hyperlinked. First, right click the image, then select Image Map Editor.

Choose a rectangle or a circle outline for your image map by selecting the appropriate radio button in the Select Area Shape section.

Click and drag over the area you want to hyperlink.

You can resize the shape using the red squares in the outline. Click and drag the shape to reposition it. Click anywhere outside the outline, then click New Area to add another.

4 Hyperlink the area. Link the outlined area to a website by clicking the shape, then entering the web address in the URL field on the right. Select New Window from the Target: dropdown to open the link in a new browser window.

Click Update Area.

Once you're done, click OK or Save. If the HTML Editor appeared in a separate window, be sure to save on the original page as well.
