A panel management company helps in recruiting a group of respondents that can effectively take your survey, providing the targeted feedback you need. But before they can begin working their magic, you'll first need to set up the survey for them.

1 Collect your info from your panel management company. Before you can begin setting up your survey, you'll first need to collect some information from the panel management company you will be working with.

Ask for their generic URLs. You'll also need to collect the unique identifier and the additional variables, if there are any. Each of these will be replicated in Inquisium with the following features:

Use the example below throughout the steps to see how each portion of the panel management company's URL should be set up in Cvent.

2 Create custom survey fields for the variables, if necessary. If the panel management company will be using multiple variables, such as, qualify, disqualify, or a unique survey code, you'll first need to create custom survey fields. Don't have additional variables? Skip to step 3.

NOTE: Do not create a custom field for the unique identifier. This will be mapped to a reference ID later.

Back in Cvent, begin creating the custom fields, and select one of the single answer options from the Field Type dropdown. In the Answers textbox, enter the first variable of the URL. In the example below, "1" will be used to redirect respondents to the completion page once they finish the survey.

Click Save. Repeat this for all of the variables, using "2" for respondents that are disqualified and so on. Once they're added, don't forget to associate them to your survey.

3 Set up the thank you pages.
A panel management company will have at least two pages for your respondents to land on when taking the survey: a complete page and a disqualify page. The first will be for those who meet the requirements and the second for those who do not. The different thank you pages will automatically re-direct your respondent to the correct end point (complete or disqualify).

If you haven't already, select your survey. Click Design Survey in the blue navigation bar. Under Section Links on the left, click Thank You Pages.

You will need to have a Thank You page for each page option. One will be for the complete responses, the other for respondents that do not fit the panel's requirements.

NOTE: For panel management companies that want to use multiple questions to disqualify respondents, you'll need to create additional thank you pages.

Click the default thank you page, then Edit. S
elect "Another Website," then enter the generic URL the panel management company provided (this will include everything before the question mark in the previous example). Switch "Do you want to append information about each response to this URL" to Yes, append the specified information to the URL, and in the Parameter Name field, enter the panel management company's unique identifier (ftouch is used in the example below). In the Field column, make sure you select Reference ID. Do the same for the other variables, making sure to match them to the correct field.

Once you're done, click Save.

Do the same for the other Thank You page, but make sure you select the question or field that will redirect respondents to the disqualify URL. This will filter out the respondents that don't fit the requirements.

Click Save.

4 Send the survey's URL to the panel management company. The panel management company will need to test this process to make sure everything is properly set up before respondents are able to reply. But before they can test, you'll first need to provide them with your survey's weblink. Under Section Links to the left, click Weblinks.
Highlight the desired URL, right click, and select Copy.

When you send the weblink to the panel management company, don't forget to remind them that they'll need to manually add each respondent
's unique identifier to the end of the URL

If they do not, they will not be able to successfully test the survey.
