Coming up on a dry spell? Don't leave your need dates to chance. Go after business using the RFP Showcase, where leads are posted and open to the first seven bidders. If you're a lead catcher, you'll receive an email anytime an RFP you qualify for is posted to the showcase. You can even add someone to just receive showcase emails.

NOTE: Use MeetingBroker? You'll need to log in to Cvent to claim an RFP and to filter or deactivate showcase notifications. Once the RFP is yours, create your proposal back in MeetingBroker.

1 Access the RFP Showcase. Begin by clicking RFP Showcase in the top navigation bar. RFPs that are open for bids in your metro area and match your room and space capacities will be available for you to browse. Some leads will have the following labels:
  • Recently Added indicates the RFP was posted in the last 24 hours.
  • Matches Need Dates appears when the event's primary or alternate dates fall within any need dates listed in your venue's profile.
  • 1 day remaining counts down the last two days before the RFP will disappear from the Showcase.

NOTE: You won't be able to see the RFP's name, code, or planner's contact information until you bid on the RFP.

Narrow the results using the filters at the top. If you oversee multiple properties for example, filter by venue. Click Advanced Filters to refine results further. If you manage multiple properties, click View Qualifying Venues to see which one the lead applies to. You can also hide an RFP by hovering over it and clicking User-added image in the top right. You can't unhide an RFP. Once it's gone, it's gone for good.

2 Bid on an RFP. To bid, click Create Proposal.

When the pop-up opens, choose a venue if you have more than one. If a venue is grayed out and you can't select it, it's for one the following reasons:
  • RFP Received - The venue was already sent this RFP directly, outside the showcase.
  • Not Qualified - The venue does not meet the RFP's room or space requirements, or it's outside the specified metro area.
Click Next >>. Look over the details one last time, then click Confirm.

To respond immediately, click Start creating a proposal on the confirmation screen.

You will receive an email, confirming your bid.

3 Track the RFPs you bid on. Any RFPs you bid on will display a shopping cart icon in your list of RFPs.

You can also create a custom view so you only see RFPs you've bid on in the Manage RFPs tab. Simply add a View Filter for Lead Source equals Cvent RFP Showcase.
