The Current Registration data tag in Flex and Classic events, or the Registration Information widget in Flex events, displays everything an invitee and their guest registered for, including admission items, tracks, optional sessions (not included sessions), optional items, and their answers to your registration questions. You cannot add, edit, or remove anything except the questions.

NOTE: Is there a mysterious sentence appearing after your sessions? Is the invitee's name not showing up at all? Match your settings to those listed in the steps below to fix these common problems.

1 Determine which questions should appear in Classic. For Classic events, begin by selecting your event. Hover over Website & Registration and, under Registration, click Registration Questions. Select the appropriate tab, then click the  User-added image next to a question. When the pop-up opens, scroll down to the Settings section.

Select one the following options from the "include in data tag" dropdown:
  • No hides this question and the registrant's answer from the data tag.
  • Yes displays the question, regardless of whether the registrant answered it.
  • Only when answered displays the question only if the registrant responded.

Click Save.

Or, determine which questions should appear in Flex. For Flex events, begin by selecting your event. Hover over Website & Registration and, under Registration, click Registration Process. Click Customize next to the page with the registration question. Click on the registration question, then in the styling options to the right of the canvas, scroll down to the Behavior section.

Select one the following options from the "include in emails" section:
  • Yes displays the question, regardless of whether the registrant answered it.
  • No hides this question and the registrant's answer from the data tag and Registration Information widget.
  • Only when answered displays the question only if the registrant responded.
Click Publish.

2 Ensure admission item information is set to display in Classic. If admission item information is not displayed on the My Registration page, it won't pull into the data tag. To check this in Classic events, hover over Website & Registration and, under Registration, click Registration Settings.

If you have multiple registration paths, click one. The Basic Settings tab opens by default. Click the rightmost tab, Confirmation, then click Edit.

Scroll down to the Event Display Options sections and switch "Display admission item information to Yes.

Click Save. If your event has multiple paths, you will need to repeat this process for each one.

Or, configure these settings in Flex. In Flex events, hover over Website & Registration and, under Registration, click Registration Process. Click Customize next to Confirmation. Click on the Registration Summary widget. In the configuration options to the right, scroll down and ensure that "Display Admission Items" is on.

3 Check the sessions' Registrant Information field, if necessary. This data tag and widget also pull in information from a session's Registrant Information field. To find out if there's anything in this field, hover over Event Details and, under Agenda Items, click Sessions.

Open an optional session by clicking its name. Select the Advanced Settings tab and click Edit. Any text in the Registrant Information box displays in your data tag below the session questions.

Edit or delete this information, if necessary, then click Save.

4 Add the data tag or widget to your emails. The Current Registration data tag is added in a Flex and Classic event's Event Reminder, Modification Confirmation, and Registration Confirmation emails by default, but you can add it to another email if you'd like. Simply insert it like any other data tag.

However, in your Flex events, you can also use the Registration Information widget, in the same places. The widget will allow you to customize how the table displays, and allow it to react to your responsive design.
