Identity Confirmation settings include setting your event to private, limiting registration by invitation list, and pre-populating registrant information.

NOTE: These instructions are for the Classic Experience. If you're using the New Experience, reference this article instead.

1 Access the Personal Information page. Begin by selecting your Flex event. Hover over Website & Registration and, under Registration, click Registration Process. To the right of Personal Information, click Customize.

NOTE: If you're already in the Site Designer, select Personal Information from the Registration Page menu in the top-left of the designer.

2 Add the Identity Confirmation widget, if necessary. Click Build to the right of the canvas, then, under the Registration Actions section, drag and drop Identity Confirmati... onto the canvas.

NOTE: Depending on when your event was created, you may have to click Finish in a Quick Setup menu before the Content tab appears.

Or, open the path's settings. If the widget is already added to your canvas, click on Personal Information from the Registration Page menu in the top-left of the designer. Then click User-added image next to the registration path.

3 Determine the basic settings. If you haven't already, click on Personal Information from the Registration Page menu in the top-left of the designer. Then click User-added image next to Default Registration Path. In the Basic Settings section, determine if you want to enable a waitlist, allow registrants to use discount codes, manually approve registrations, allow registration on behalf of someone else, and allow invitees to modify their personal information after registration.

If you want to lock the fields of the Identity Confirmation widget to be read-only for registrants who arrive through the {[E-RSVP YES]} data tag, switch "Make identity fields read-only if registrant is identified through the registration link" to green.

4 Determine your privacy settings. Under Privacy Settings, determine if your event will be "open to the public," "only those on invitation lists," or "only those on certain invitation lists." If selecting "only those on invitation lists," determine if invitees can register through an email invitation and the event website or an email invitation only. If selecting "only those on certain invitation lists," choose the invitation list from the dropdown.

Toggle "Autofill the registrant's information if they arrive from a public weblink" to the right for registrants' contact fields to auto-fill upon registering.

Click Apply.

Once you're done, click
Save to save the draft or click Publish to make it visible to invitees.
