Test sends are ideal to review the formatting of both the HTML and plain text versions of the email. Test emails will not show in your email reports. Not all hyperlinks are active in the Test email and not all data tag content will populate.

1 Open the email. Begin by selecting your event. Hover over Promotion & Communication and, under Email, click Event Emails. If applicable, select an invitation list. Then, click the name of your email.

The Details tab opens by default. Click the right-most tab, Preview. Hover over Send and click Test.

Select an account user, account user group, custom event field, email address, event role, planner email address, report user, report user group, test send group, or test user from the Type dropdown. Select the user, group, or field from the Recipient ellipses (...) or dropdown, if necessary.  Add multiple recipients by clicking on the + Add Recipient button.

Click Confirm Test Send.

2 Review the email. Both an HTML and plain text version will be sent for your review, unless the email format is set to plain text only.
