If you want to be notified whenever your venue's performance falls short of your set goal or competitors, you can set up custom alerts in a few of the most popular Business Intelligence (BI) reports.

NOTE: Business Intelligence is an additional feature. Contact your sales representative to learn more.

1 Access the Custom Alert List. Start by clicking Business Intelligence in the top navigation. Click the User-added image icon in the top right and select Manage Alerts.

2 Set up custom alerts. Click Create Custom Alert, then click the name of the report for which you want to create one. Business Intelligence alerts can be set for the Competitive Set DashboardHotel Performance Dashboard, and the Competitive Set Comparison.

Start by selecting how often you want to receive the alert.

NOTE: Keep in mind that, irrespective of the frequency you select, the custom alert will not be sent unless its trigger conditions are met.

Select the venue and the performance metric you want to be alerted on.

Choose whether you want to track:
  • Your hotel's goal
  • Or your hotel performance against the competition.

NOTE: If you are using the Hotel Performance Dashboard, you can only track your hotel's goal.

If you are tracking your hotel's goal, use the "Send alert if below" field to enter the two decimal value that represents your set objective for the selected metric.

If you are tracking your hotel performance against the competition, use the "Send alert if behind by" to enter the two decimal value that will trigger the alert to be sent, based on the frequency you selected.

Next, select the date range that should be taken into consideration when evaluating your hotel's performance. You can set the date range based on when RFPs were received (previous 365 days, previous quarter, or previous month) and when the event starts (all, from today forward, next year, next quarter, or next month).

For example, if you create a daily custom alert for the Received RFPs metric, where you set the date range to RFPs received in the last 30 days and enter 35 in the "Send alert if below" field, a custom alert will be triggered when the number of received RFPs in the last 30 days is lower than 35.

Click Save when you're done.

If the conditions are met, a custom alert will be emailed to you based on the frequency you selected.

NOTE: The custom alerts will only be received by the user who created them.
