Some Cvent users only need to manage RFPs or profile details for a single venue while others are in charge of several venues in a specific area, brand, or chain. To meet their needs, Cvent allows the creation of two types of users:

Prerequisites for Managing Users
  • Only account administrators or those with user management permissions can create, edit, duplicate, disable, or delete user accounts.
  • User roles must be defined within the account, to determine what a user can see and do once they log in.

What You Can Do with Existing User Accounts
If you are an account administrator or you have user management permissions, you can do any of the following:
  • Edit a user to change their personal information or visibility and access settings.
  • Change a user's password
  • Duplicate a user to speed up the process of creating a new one with similar access.
  • Disable a user to temporarily prevent them from accessing Cvent.
  • Delete a user if they no longer require access to Cvent or they have left your organization.

Keep Track of Your Account Users
If you are an account administrator, you can use standard reports to audit your account users. Run the:
  • User Audit report to view details about both property and above property users, grouped by venue.
  • Users per Venue Cluster report to view details about all the above property users in your account, grouped by venue cluster.
