If you're using Attendee Hub, follow these setup steps within your Flex event to take advantage of the features available for the Attendee Website and Event App. This includes video content for sessions, featured sessions and speakers, custom terms, and more.
NOTE: You'll still need to prepare your Exhibitor Management Portal and Appointments event for Attendee Hub separately.

1 Activate the relevant features. Begin by selecting your Flex event. From the left-hand navigation, click General, then Event Features.

Click + Add to activate these solutions and features, if they aren't already enabled:
  • Attendee Hub
  • Speakers
  • Agenda
  • Exhibitors
  • Surveys
2 Enable virtual capabilities. From the left-hand navigation, click General, then Event Information. Click Edit. Scroll down to the Event Format section and switch "What's your event format?" to Virtual.

3 Determine where attendees can control their schedule. You can allow attendees to add or remove sessions during registration or on the Attendee Hub.

To do so, click Agenda, then Session List from the left-hand navigation. Click Create Session. Or, if you've already added a session, click the session name, then Edit. In the Status & Capacity section, decide whether "Open for registration" and "Display in Attendee Hub" should be set to yes or no.

Click Save.
 
4 Assign featured sessions and speakers. Follow these instructions to add featured sessions and speakers within your Attendee Hub.


5 Add groups, if desired. If you want to limit page visibility to certain groups of attendees within your Attendee Website and Event App, create registration types or admission items before opening registration.

6 Add attendee list filter questions. If you're planning to enable the attendee list for your event, you can add choice questions to your import or registration process and designate specific questions as filters. This allows attendees to narrow down the attendee list based on those filters.

7 Enable secure verification code. For the best attendee experience, enable two-factor authentication to ensure the unique codes attendees will use to log in are sent to their email and mobile phone. From the left-hand navigation, click General, then Event Settings. Click the Security tab at the top of the page, then Edit.


In the Post-Registration Authentication section, select Secure verification code.

Then click Save. During registration, attendees will also be prompted to double check their phone number if inputted in an invalid format.
 
8 Add custom terms of use, if desired. Follow these instructions to display your organization's terms of use on the Attendee Website and Event App.

9 Create your feedback surveys. If you've set up feedback surveys for your event, a "Have feedback?" section will appear on the Home page of the Attendee Website along with a "Take survey" shortcut button. In the Event App, attendees will be able to access their applicable surveys from the "Share Your Thoughts" section that appears on the Home page, or from the Profile tab. 

Website and app users can also take session surveys by accessing the Survey section directly on the session page.

 
NOTE: If you are using a Premium Survey with advanced visibility logic, attendees who do not meet the criteria to take your survey will see an error message upon accessing it.

10 Create a custom engagement score, if necessary. Within Engagement Scoring, you can create a custom score to help you better understand attendees' engagement with your entire event.

Now that you've prepared your Flex event for Attendee Hub, follow these instructions to prepare your Exhibitor Management Portal.
