A

Advanced Video Production - The process of adding custom graphics, advanced layouts, multiple feeds, and other enhancements to video content.

Attendee Hub - A new product that provides you with all the tools needed to deliver engaging and impactful virtual, hybrid, and in-person events. It includes access to the Attendee Website and Event App, allowing attendees to find key event information, view video content, engage with exhibitors, sponsors, and each other through their browser or mobile device.

Attendee Website - A web-based portal for attendees prior to, during, and after an event. From the website, they can find key event information, view video content, engage with exhibitors, and more.

C

Collaborative Session - Only possible with Cvent Video Conferencing, this type of session allows multiple attendees to speak and participate.

Cvent Video Player - Our secure way to stream live or pre-recorded video content on session pages within the Attendee Website. Supports webinar-style sessions.

Cvent Video Conferencing - Our video conferencing solution for collaborative sessions, virtual exhibitor meetings, and virtual appointments integrated as part of the Attendee Website.

E

Event App - A software application developed for mobile devices like smartphones and tablets that attendees can access prior to, during, and after an event. From the app, they can find key event information, manage their schedule, and more.

L

Live Q&A - A feature on the Attendee Website and Event App that allows attendees to ask questions from a particular session. They can view the submitted questions and upvote the ones they want answered most.

Live Stream - A live video of a session or event that is happening in real-time over the internet. You can add live streams to your sessions on the Attendee Website.

M

Moderator - An event registrant who has access to review, approve, reject, and display attendee questions asked through Live Q&A on the Attendee Website or Event App.

Networking - The ability for event attendees to connect with one another through collaborative sessions or appointments.

R

Real Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) - Allows for high-performance transmissions of audio, video, and other data between a video capture tool and a video player. This file type is required for videos within the Attendee Website.

S

Simulcast - The ability to broadcast a live stream to multiple destinations, such as YouTube Live and Facebook Live, simultaneously.

Simulive - The replaying of a pre-recorded video at a scheduled time, designed to provide attendees with the same experience as a live event or session.

Speaker Green Room - A virtual meeting space where presenters can relax and prepare before speaking to a live audience.

V

Video Conferencing Platform - The software used to capture your virtual event's sessions, such as Zoom or WebEx. Also referred to as a Video Capture Tool.

Video On Demand (VOD) - Previously recorded video content that a viewer can watch at a time of their choosing. This includes content that was recorded before an event, or that was played live during an event and can now be played back as a recording.

Virtual Booth - An interactive destination on the Attendee Website where exhibitors and sponsors can meet with and capture leads from attendees during your event. From an exhibitor's virtual booth, attendees can join a virtual meeting with the booth staff, if they have one setup for their organization.

Virtual Venue - The technology that takes the place of the physical event venue.
