Planner alerts notify you of developments within a specific event. Triggered based on criteria you configure, these alerts are intended for internal users only.

1 Access the Planners Alerts page. Begin by selecting your event. In the left-hand navigation, click Email, then Planner Alerts.

2 Choose the type of alert. Click Create Alert.

First select the category, then the type. Within the category, the types will vary. Make the decision easier by consulting the descriptions underneath, then click Next.

3 Establish the email details. Name the email. Ensure the email is Active. You can edit the subject by typing in the Subject textbox. Enter a "Reply-To Email Address" so that respondents know who to email.

Create a message. Add data tags by clicking the Insert Data Tag..., and checking the boxes next to the ones you want to include. Determine if a link to the Cvent login page should be included in the email.

Add all of the other details you want to include.

4 Select the recipients. List everyone who should receive this alert in the Recipients section.

To send it to yourself, choose Account User in the Type dropdown, click the ellipsis (...) in the corresponding Recipient box, and click Select next to your name.

If you're not an account user, click the User-added image icon under Type and select Email Address. Enter your email in the corresponding Recipient box. Accidentally add a recipient you don't want? Click the User-added image to the right of their name to remove them.

You can also send alerts to user groups, custom event and contact fields, and event roles.

NOTE: Planner alerts should never be sent to your invitees.

5 Add advanced filters, if necessary. Use the dropdowns in the Advanced Filters section to further limit which invitees trigger a registrant status, payment, or code alert. In the example below, the user will be sent an alert every time a VIP registers.

Need to remove a filter? Select - Select Field - from the Field dropdown. Once you're done, click Finish.
