Offer a personalized experience to event planners around the world by making your venue profile available in their native language. Here's how.

1 Access your venue profile. Start by clicking Venues in the top navigation bar, then click the name of your venue.

2 Review the Language Management page. From the left-hand menu, under Section Links, click Localization

On the Language Management page, you can view a list of all the languages currently supported by Cvent and details such as which languages require translation updates or when they were last updated.

3 Select the language you need. Click the desired language link to access the list of profile fields that can be translated. Here, you can view where each text is located within the venue profile, the field name, the original English text, and the existing translation (if any).

The initial translations in a specific language are automatically generated. They are triggered when your venue profile is viewed in that language for the first time. If you make any changes to an English text field in the venue profile, a new translation will be generated the next time your venue profile is viewed in the relevant language. This automated update only occurs if you haven't made any changes to the initial translation.

NOTE: Automated translations cannot often account for the nuances of a native language. Reviewing this content is strongly recommended.

When a text translation is updated, the Custom Text column displays a Yes value to indicate a change was made. If an English text field in the venue profile has been updated since it was last translated, the Translation Update Needed column displays a Yes value. This value will change back to No once the translation is updated.

4 Add or edit a text translation. Click the text you want and add or edit the translation in the Translated Text field that opens on the right-hand side of the page.

Click Save Changes when you're done.

If necessary, add or edit translations for other text fields in the list, then click Save Changes in the top right to return to the main Language Management page.
